For the very first time we have partnered with a Kentish Primary School to introduce children to the wonderful world of orchids. We have organised a Colouring Competition for Children aged 6 - 10 years and an Art Competition for children aged 11 and above.
We have set up an extra space in the hall where the participating children could do their colouring or drawing in a calm atmosphere and without any interruptions.
Each child that has coloured an orchid or has drawn an orchid was than awarded a Rosette and a Certificate and could choose a real life orchid to take home. A few orchids will also go to Lyminge Primary School for children to experience how to look after an orchid in the class room.
